Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement
Our home is a 4 level attached townhome in Cospicua, one of the UNESCO areas near Valletta, Malta. It is a traditional Maltese home, with lots of steps - 66 total in house, not including the approx. 10 steps leading up to the front door! Rooms are small, cozy and independent of each other, basically, no open concept. Our home is furnished with antiques and items from all over our world travels but it also has some modern amenities such as A/C in three rooms and a 75" Smart TV. The terrace on the fourth floor has views of Valletta and the bay, as well as other Maltese homes, and a crane that is painted like a giraffe! The small patio by the kitchen is the perfect place to have meals, but we also have a dedicated dinning room. There are two typical Maltese balconies in the front of the house which provides the typical Maltese facade.
NOTE: Because of the vintage items in the home and the high stairs, we don't allow children under 13. Anything that is broken CANNOT be replaced!

Ce que vous allez adorer dans le quartier
Our neighborhood is more Maltese than it is touristy, meaning it closes down early and there are a lot of festivals involving Saints and parades. There are nice restaurants in walking distance, mostly along the waterfront and boat docks. The American University of Malta (AUM) is located down the road and the ferry to Valletta is a 2 minute walk from our house. The ferry takes 7 minutes to reach Valletta, the capital of Malta, and it is a UNESCO heritage site. Valletta stays open late into the night, for those night owls, with a plethora of shops, bars and restaurants to visit.

English is one of the official spoken languages. Public transportation is available and reliable (buses, ferries, Uber, Bolt, etc.) and it's easy to visit other parts of the island. The island of Gozo, (Malta's sister island) is a ferry ride away and well worth a visit - it's more rural but has some of the best beaches around. Sicily can be visited on a day trip by taking the hour-long ferry across the water.
