Groveland is a quaint, historic town that played key roles in the California Gold Rush and in the history of Yosemite.
It is a gateway to the Stanislaus National Forest and is known for the historic Iron Door Saloon.

One of the most notable businesses downtown is the Iron Door Saloon. Founded in 1852, this is the longest continually operating saloon in all of California. Food, drinks, live music at the Groveland Hotel & Hotel Charlotte.
For coffee and nature lovers the best spot is Mountain Sage further down the Hwy 120.
Just west of Groveland on Highway 120, Around the Horn Brewing Company is a fun-spirited micro brewery where there's something for everyone, including those who don't particularly care for beer. Their beers are always changing, so there's no getting bored there.
Groveland Museum. Groveland was also the base of operations when the O'Shaughnessy Dam was being constructed to form Hetch Hetchy Reservoir that would provide San Francisco with a stable water source.

Groveland is the Gateway to Yosemite and is surrounded by Stanislaus National Forest, as such no trip here would be complete without exploring at least a few of the many hiking trails. Hiking is the #1 visitor activity in Tuolumne County after all. There are many trails to choose with a great selection of difficulties and terrains, such as the Carlon Falls Trail and Wapama Falls Trail at Hetch Hetchy Reservoir. You can choose to explore yourself, but a great option is to take a guided hike to find the true hidden gems of the area.
Embark on a White Water Adventure. World-famous whitewater rafting offers everything from float boats to Class 5 runs on the Tuolumne and Stanislaus Rivers. The Wild and Scenic Tuolumne, named #1 rafting river by the San Francisco Chronicle, is California’s premier wilderness whitewater.
Tuolumne County offers up some of the most fun on two wheels around. Road and mountain biking is evolving fast in Tuolumne County. The Ferretti Road Non-Motorized Trail Network just outside of Groveland includes 1.3 miles of bike-only trail that you can ride in any direction and features long drops, log ride, jumps, berms, and rollers.

Visit Hetch Hetchy Reservoir. The reservoir inside of Yosemite is accessible without a reservation! Enjoy spectacular scenery while hiking around the reservoir that is the water source for much of San Francisco. Lake Don Pedro, one of California’s stunning massive reservoirs. Now dog-friendly.
Visit Jamestown where several of the town’s buildings that date back to the 1870s and 1880s are occupied by quaint historic inns, restaurants, shops, brewery and wine tasting room. See the historic “movie star locomotive,” the Sierra No. 3®, take a ride on famous Sierra No. 28 and go on a tour of one of the few remaining working railroad roundhouses in America at Railtown 1897 State Historic Park.

Dome Home has had a full major face lift.

There is 300 cleaning fee up to 4 people. it's additional 100 for each additional person and 100 per dog. We also participate in AIRBNB so our standards remain high. We need to have a cleaner due to the fact this is our 2nd home. Please be courteous of our neighbors. There are many great activities around, so do your homework, so you don't miss out.
