Welcome to our charming country hideaway. We live on 5 acres, half of which is in beautiful landscaped gardens. The balance is in paddocks, a large vegetable garden and small orchard.
Our large home has 4 large bedrooms, one of which has an ensuite, two lounges, and a country kitchen. One lounge has a fire for winter (firewood provided), and there are two heat pumps to keep you warm during winter stays. In summer there is a heated in ground swimming pool, which is securely gated for kids.
We have a few sheep, some chickens, and a 6yo springer spaniel called Shiloh. You may be required to feed our animals during your stay (depending on length and time of stay).
We have three young children so there are plenty of toys, a large trampoline and a small playground to provide hours of entertainment.

Ashburton is a small country town with all amenities and some great local eateries. We are just 8 min from the town centre.
We are 5 minutes from a local mountain biking trail and walking trails.
20 minutes up the road is the town of Methven which has great outdoor hot pools, and NZ's best ski resort, Mt Hutt. Methven also has an excellent Mountain Bike park.
40 minutes away is the Ashburton Lakes which is beautiful and has lots of great walks. For Lord of the Rings fans, you can walk to Mt Sunday which was the location of Edoras, the capital of Rohan.
We are 1 hour away from Christchurch which has an international airport, lots of shopping, night life, a world class mountain biking park, and lots of walking and biking tracks in the Port Hills.
Our property also borders the Ashburton River which you can 4wd or motorbike down (BYO 4WD/bike).
The Ashburton and Rakaia rivers also have excellent fishing.
We are central in the south island, so a perfect base to explore the many, many amazing sights the south island has to offer.
