Treehouse-like escape nestled in a quiet lake town right in between Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear. Just 90 minutes from LA, this is the perfect nature escape from the city and busy mountain resort towns. Just a 1-minute walk to the lake and 3 minutes to the village. The space
Designed with a cozy-modern aesthetic, it is the ideal place for a romantic getaway or spending some quality time with loved ones. Enjoy panoramic views from our treetop deck or cozy up by the fire while enjoying a good movie or book. Ideal for a writer's retreat or remote work, our internet is faster than our internet in LA!
House layout:
Two flights of stairs from the driveway up to the first floor
First floor
- 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom
- master bedroom sleeps 2 on the queen bed
- second bedroom sleeps up to 4 (full, twin/twin bunk)
Second floor
- living room/ kitchen/ dining/ 2nd bathroom
- living room has a one-person sleeper sofa
Parking and Driving
We have space for 2 cars on our sloped driveway. If the driveway has snow before your arrival, we will plow it for you.
Guest access
- fully-equipped kitchen with all the dishes and utensils you need to prepare and eat a nice meal
Guests can access the lake and use the walking path, rent boats in season (kayaks, paddle boats, fishing boats, stand up paddle boards), and go fishing.
Please note that we have two Blink security cameras on the outside of our property. One points at the steps and one points at the driveway. The purpose of these cameras is to help us to monitor weather/snow conditions and to ensure the security of the property.
Anyone driving in the mountains during snow season is required to bring tire chains with them, in case of icy conditions.

Neighborhood highlights
Green Valley Lake (7000' elevation), the "hidden gem" of the San Bernardino Mountains, is a secluded mountain retreat right in between Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear. It is the perfect home base for exploring all that the mountain has to offer and yet tucked away from the traffic and hustle and bustle of big resort towns. When we were doing our research to buy a cabin, we visited every mountain town within a 2 hour drive from LA and Green Valley Lake won our hearts. We wanted a walkable quiet nature escape with a lake.
The Village consists of just a few buildings next to the lake, including The General Store, Log Cabin Cafe, and Black Dog Gift Shoppe. Other restaurants and shopping are available 10 minutes away in Running Springs.
If you're coming in winter, drive about 10 minutes to Snow Drift Snow Tubing Park and Snow Valley Mountain Resort, or about 30-40 minutes to Snow Summit or Bear Mountain. There are many sledding opportunities around town.
The lake itself is known for swimming, fishing, and paddleboating (check with us for current info on availability of these activities) and for the beautiful 20-minute walking path around it. The winding, oscillating streets near the lake also make for some delightful strolls. Hiking trails abound, both nearby and in Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear.
For kids, we recommend checking out Skypark Santa's Village (great for adults, too), Children's Forest, and of course, our local beach and playgrounds. Bring some corn and dry oatmeal to feed the ducks, as well as peanuts for the squirrels and birds.
Getting around
We are just a 1 minute walk to the lake and about a 3 minute walk to the village. If you plan on walking in the evening, please use a flashlight.
