Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement
We custom built our home in 2022 as a gathering place for our family. There is a primary suite with a large bathroom, including a wet room-style curb-less shower, and deep soaking tub. In addition, there are two guest bedrooms with a Jack and Jill bathroom in between. All three bedrooms are furnished with comfortable new king beds and large dressers for storage.
We also have a set of twin-sized built-in bunk beds tucked away behind privacy curtains in the hallway. Each bunk is equipped with a niche complete with outlets and a reading lamp. Off of the entryway/mudroom there's a powder room as well as plenty of hooks and drawers to put away shoes and outerwear.
Additionally, there is high-speed wifi and a separate office equipped with a monitor and plenty of outlets for an idyllic remote work location with floor to ceiling views of the surrounding mountains. Your coworkers will be jealous!
Our gourmet-style kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could need to cook for the whole family, including a professional-style gas range, large oven, extensive counter space, two sinks, and a French press and drip machine for coffee. In addition to three bar seats, the dining table seats 7 with additional seats if needed. The living room is both spacious and cozy with surrounding views of the mountains through floor to ceiling windows. Bring your favourite Spotify playlist to play through the Sonos music system! We also have a plethora of outdoor seating for lounging, an outdoor dining table that seats 8, an outdoor beer fridge, and a large gas-plumbed BBQ fully equipped with grilling tools.
In the winter, our home is heated with efficient in-floor radiant heating. We have air conditioning, a ceiling fan in the living room, and portable bedroom fans to keep you cool in the summer. We have a separate laundry room with a washer, dryer, and utility sink for you to use as well.
Our paved driveway can fit up to 3 cars comfortably with plenty of additional street parking. We have a separate storage area in the driveway where you can store your skis/snowboards/boots and other wet winter gear.
Our daughter and son-in-law live year-round in the walkout basement suite below our home and use a separate entrance to access their unit. They will be available during your stay should any questions or issues arise and they manage the driveway snowplowing in the winter.
Our home is suitable for romantic couples' getaways, family vacations, business travellers, and friend groups. Access is all on one floor, so those with mobility challenges will be able to move around with ease. Our home's 3 bedrooms comfortably fit 6 adults plus children in a pack n' play (provided), and 2 children (or adults that want a cozy sleeping nook) can happily fit in the built-in bunks.

Our home is a 9 minute drive from the charming Kootenay town of Nelson BC, close enough for easy access to the action in town, yet far enough away to feel nestled into your very own mountain retreat. Our small, safe, friendly neighborhood is only a few years old and set in the mountains, with stunning views year round. We are a five minute drive to the local beach called Taghum. The local ski resort, Whitewater, with world-renowned snowfall and epic off-piste skiing, is a 25 minute drive, and Red Mountain is about one hour away. If peddling uphill is your thing, incredible mountain biking terrain at Morning Mountain is at your fingertips through a neighbourhood access path up to Granite Road. Beyond skiing, biking, hiking, and long lake days, Nelson boasts high-quality, diverse cuisine, adorable shops, and a lively music scene and nightlife in its downtown core on Baker St. What's not to love about our charming mountain town?!

Please be aware that although the basement suite is completely separate and, as a new build, has a high level of sound proofing and privacy, exchangers are asked to be respectful and considerate of sharing the property with our daughter and son-in-law. While our house is fun, it's not a party house. Please no bachelor/ette or other parties in our home.
