Ever dreamed of living in a real castle? Our apartment is located on the top floor of the Moated Castle of Aistersheim, a Renaissance-style jewel considered one of the most beautiful castles in Upper Austria. Originally built in the 12th century as a medieval fortress, the castle was later upgraded to a more decorative Renaissance-style design. It now stands as a perfect blend of military architecture and picturesque beauty, combining water, woods, and elegant structures. The castle rests on wooden-pile foundations and is entirely surrounded by water.
The master's bedroom is located within one of the castle’s towers (with a large king bed measuring 200cmx200cm, a double sofa bed, and two extra mattresses). This room also serves as a private theater, equipped with a 300-inch projector screen connected to high-end stereo speakers, which include Bluetooth connectivity for streaming Spotify. For viewing entertainment, the space offers Prime Video and Kanopy. The apartment is distinguished by high ceilings and long, exposed wooden beams, both in the ceiling and flooring, which date back 300 years. These original logs were sourced from the Aistersheim forest, still owned by the family.
The open-plan living and dining room is light and minimally decorated, featuring a 3-meter dining table crafted from oak wood and a comfortable, stylish couch paired with a wooden coffee table. Just outside the apartment is a veranda where you can overlook the courtyard, the fountain, and a charming little spot perfect for outdoor breakfasts or evening drinks after dinner.
The kitchen is modern and spacious, equipped with all the essentials, including a dishwasher, stove, full kitchen utensils, pots and pans, blender, coffee maker, and a refrigerator with a freezer, robot vacuum cleaner, and other essentials for a comfortable stay.

For your fitness needs, there is a rowing machine and numerous hiking paths.
The owners of the castle from noble origin still reside here, and many of the rooms have been beautifully preserved. Notable features include the Knight’s Hall, a historic library filled with centuries-old books, modern furnishings, oil paintings, Italian frescoes, and a quaint chapel.
