Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement
This is a small, private cottage in the back garden of our main home. It's a great place for a single or couple to stay for a short visit to the area. Other than a microwave and the outdoor barbecue grill, there are no cooking facilities. So think of this as being similar to a hotel/motel stay.
The cottage is available separately for Guest Points only, or together with our main home (also listed on Home Exchange). During your Guest Points stay in the cottage, we will normally be staying in the main house, or may have the main house booked by other Home Exchange guests. In either case, use of the garden area, BBQ, and laundry facilities in the main garage will be shared with whoever is staying in the house.
The cottage has a true Finnish sauna with an electrically heated stove containing about 100kg of rocks which make lots of wonderful steam when you pour on some water. Not every guest will want to use it, but if you do we hope it will be a wonderful experience. It's a cherished treasure of our home, so we expect any use to be very careful and respectful.

We live in a quiet, friendly neighborhood with a mix of empty-nest adults and young growing families. We're right on the edge of foothills of the Santa Cruz mountains, and have hiking and mountain-biking trails nearby. We adjoin San Jose, one of the safest large cities in the US. Our town is the home of Netflix and many other tech luminaries and regular folk working in Silicon Valley. We're just an hour from San Francisco to the north and Santa Cruz and Monterey to the south. There are also vibrant small town centers 10-15 minutes away in central Los Gatos, Saratoga, Campbell, and Willow Glen where there's lots of activity, good restaurants, shopping and people watching. Santana Row is another popular shopping venue with a European feel and architecture, and there are a couple of large Outlet malls about 25 minutes away for more economical purchases.
