Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement
One of the best things about Casa Paquenuna is its phenomenal roof terrace, offering beautiful views and even the glimmer of the Mediterranean in the distance. In the evening, the cicadas usually treat you to a concert, while you're watching the sunset. The roof terrace is the ideal place to eat or talk about the day with a glass in your hand. When you arrive, freshly made beds and clean towels will be waiting for you.
Inside you will find a large living room with more than enough space for six. Plop down on the comfortable sofas, or curl up with a book on the daybed. There is also a smart TV with Netflix. Scan the code and log in to your own account for a cozy movie night.
The other spaces in Casa Paquenuna are a small dining room, large landing, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen and a utility room with washing machine. There is also a smaller terrace, right next to the living room, where you can sit under the awning.
There are fans in all rooms for the warmest days and nights. In the winter it can sometimes be chilly, which is when you might want to use the mobile gas heater. You will also find extra blankets in the cupboard under the stairs, to put on top of the duvets.
Please note: bedroom 2 (with the wicker headboard and the pink chair) does not have its own door. There is a curtain that can be closed so that there is no view in. In addition, the room is at the end of a corridor, separate from the other rooms, which gives it a bit more privacy.
The two bathrooms each have their own boiler. The largest bathroom is downstairs, with toilet, sink, bath and shower over the bath. There is a second bathroom upstairs, with toilet, sink and shower.
You can park for free in front of the house or closeby. There are six steps at the entrance. There is a staircase down to the bedrooms and a staircase up to the large roof terrace. Casa Paquenuna does not have an elevator.
Good to know: Casa Paquenuna is located in a Spanish village, so there are ants and other small creatures in the area. We do our best to keep them out, but we cannot guarantee that you will not encounter them. What always helps is not to leave a crumb and to empty the bin every day or every other day. A good excuse for an evening stroll.

Urbanización La Marina is located approximately 4 kilometers from the Costa Blanca with its beautiful sandy beaches. It is a fairly large yet quiet urbanization with all the amenities of a small town, such as a town hall, medical center, dentist, restaurants, cafes, large and small shops, hairdressers, a bank and several supermarkets. The people here are a mix of residents and guests who are here for a holiday under the sun. The majority are Spanish, British or German.
Urbanización La Marina is easily accessible from both Alicante and Murcia airports. If you want to use Casa Paquenuna as a base to explore La Marina, the beaches and the wider area, it is useful to have a car.
Several restaurants, Dialprix supermarket, a swimming pool and a snooker center with a nice playground are less than a 5-minute walk away. When this pool is closed (outside the Spanish school holidays) you can also swim, jump on the trampolines, work out, play tennis or try your hand at mini golf at La Marina Sports Center (https://maps.app.goo.gl/JRj5b2WmX5NE5yp17).
By car you will find yourself at the beautiful sandy beaches of the Costa Blanca in 5 to 10 minutes. You could also explore the nature reserves and salt lakes that are nearby.
The stunning city of Valencia is about 2 hours by car. It has more to offer than you can see in one day and the atmosphere is quite relaxed. Alicante with its boulevard, fort, palm park, marina, shops and restaurants is only half an hour by car. In fifteen minutes you can be in Santa Pola, where there is a market twice a week (and great water slides at Pola Park). You can also take a boat from Santa Pola to the tiny island of Tabarca, or have a bite to eat at the harbor. There are many nice villages and small towns nearby.
