Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement
Safe and surrounded by beautiful tall trees and nearby woods, our home is a peaceful sanctuary located in a cul- de- sac. Yet we're also close to a new light rail station, restaurants, grocery stores, a fabulous bookstore, and other amenities. We're just a five-minute drive from Log Boom Park near the north end of Lake Washington and the Burke Gilman trail. Light-filled and with a big fenced yard and a garage, our house can comfortably host a large family but is also perfect for a couple. Upstairs we have two lovely bedrooms (the master bedroom is ensuite and has a deck), kitchen with everything you need, and a light-filled dining room. We have a second living room downstairs with two of the four bedrooms, a bathroom, and easy access to the lovely backyard to enjoy sunny days and quiet evenings

Brier, our neighborhood, has a rural feel and is wonderfully walkable. City Lights woods are across the street from us, and we're close to Abbey View Cemetery, a lovely hilltop place to go for a walk. We also have a great pizza place and neighborhood store five minutes away. On the way to the Mountlake Terrace Light Rail, which takes you to downtown and the airport, we have several restaurants and a pub. We're also close to Lake Forest Park Towne Center and Third Place Books.
One of the best things about Seattle is its perfect blend nature and city life. We love kayaking on Lake Washington, Lake Ballinger, and the Sammamish River and walking or biking along the Burke Gilman trail. St. Edwards Park offers lovely trails, and the Cascade Mountains are one of our favorite places to go for hikes, skiing, and snow-shoeing. We are under 30 minutes away from downtown Seattle and everything it has to offer. Edmonds is a short drive away, and what a gem! Sunsets, Edmonds Water Park, and a delightful selection of boutiques and restaurants. Finally, we boast ferries close by that can take you to all the wonderful islands of the PNW.

Although we prefer to keep parties to eight, we do have a sleeper sofa downstairs for two additional guests and a sofa someone could sleep on. If you are a large party of up to eleven people, we can accommodate you but would prefer to keep such stays on the shorter side.
We also have camp beds, plenty of camping, picnicking, hiking, skiing, and backpacking gear, two bikes, and two kayaks that you are welcome to use!
We are looking for reciprocal exchanges in places like New Mexico, Lake Tahoe, Montreal, and Hawaii over the summer and New England in the fall of 2025. We will be in South Africa in December, 2025 and January, 2026 and would love to find a family looking for a two-month stay in our Brier home while we are traveling!
