My quaint A-frame home, complete with 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bath, is situated in the heart of Truckee, CA on an acre of land. It is a family friendly mountain cabin. Cozy up by the wood stove as you settle in with the trees & mountain air.
I have a bunny, her name is Ickle and she will be sharing the home with you. Ickle is comfortable with dogs, but I need reassurance that your dog wont want to hunt my rabbit during your stay.
It was fully remodeled and renovated recently, providing a beautiful mountain escape that is clean, airy and maintains a great use of space.
Mud rooms with hooks to hang all your outdoor wear at both the front and back door enter into an open floor plan with a wood stove, modern kitchen appliances, granite countertops, craftsman wood framing, and a handcrafted wooden dining table that seats 8. Windows all around the lower level provide connection to nature and natural light.
Master bedroom on the first floor has private bath, desk with computer, and private slider entrance to back yard. Queen bed (sleep 2).
Upstairs is a-frame style. The middle room is a loft area with a large TV/lounge/teen room (and an aerial silk hanging from ceiling to keep entertained!). Two bedrooms on either side of the loft. One bedroom is queen + twin + trundle (can sleep 4). Other bedroom is queen size bed (sleep 2).
Two car garage, room for vehicles in driveway, plow service in the winter.

Many full-time residents live here, but since we all have between 1-5 acres surrounded by trees, there is a natural quite, private, peaceful feel to it. Located 2 miles to I-80, 1 miles from Hwy 89N, 20 minutes to the shores of Lake Tahoe, 15 minutes to international ski resorts, 5 minutes to downtown Truckee and 2 minutes to the Community Recreation Center.
Trail access, local reservoir and open space 5 minutes drive.
Class IV bike paths everywhere.

I live here with my two teenage kids (who split time at a different home) and have put so much labor and love into making this home a place where I and the people who visit feel comfortable. My house is build and decorated to withstand the impact of kids and fun, it is a minimalist spot with simplistic custom design elements. Tucked away neatly, you'll find art supplies, games, blankets, balls, yoga supplies- just about anything to make you feel good relaxing here!
I'm looking to travel both locally and internationally- Id love to find someone that is interested in a recurring mountains to ocean trade so we can exchange weekends and find the best of both worlds. I'm also interested in travel to Ireland, Spain, Italy, Mexico - heck, just about anywhere! I have family that lives in town and a boyfriend that also lives close, so I would consider an exchange just about any time. Reach out and see if my dates can work for you!
