This is a guest room in our home, which is located on the edge of Harrisonburg, Virginia. We will be home when the guest room is available, but we are used to hosting guests and will make you feel comfortable.
Our home is the best combination of the peaceful countryside and the convenience of the city.
Located off a quiet cul-de-sac, with a gorgeous view of the mountains and farmland off the front deck, it is easy to forget that town and a large university are minutes away, accessible by foot or bicycle.
Nestled in the woods, our 1.25 acre lot is also filled with gardens, berries and bird song.
Downstairs has a living room, den, dining room, a half-bath/laundry room, and a central hallway equipped with a piano. The kitchen is fully equipped since we are avid cooks. We make this available to guests while we are at home.
This guest room has a queen bed and a sewing room/bedroom has a pullout single bed.

The Shenandoah Valley is an outdoor enthusiast's heaven. With hundreds of miles of rolling green hills, and fertile farmland it is situated between the Blue Ridge, the Massanbutten range and the Allegheny Mountains. Home to some of the best bike riding and hiking on the east coast, we are just 25 miles from the Shenandoah National Park and Skyline Drive. Closer still are the George Washington and Jefferson National Forests with hundreds of miles of hiking and mountain biking trails.
Fun and friendly Harrisonburg is a local food hub, with a wide variety of unique restaurants, farmers markets and artisan shops. James Madison University is in the center of town, with sports, arts and cultural events. Less than an hour away are two ski resorts, Massanutten and Wintergreen and Staunton's American Shakespeare Center.
