Glan y Mor is a Victorian town house, located in an enviable position on the seafront of the picturesque coastal town of Criccieth, North Wales. The house benefits from beautiful sea and mountain views.

Glan y Mor is equipped to a high standard and provides a total of 8 bedrooms. All bedrooms have en suite facilities.

There are 3 twin rooms, 2 double rooms, 1 king room and 2 family suites. Each family suite comprises 2 interconnecting rooms, one with a king size bed and the other a set of bunk beds.

Glan y Mor has a fantastic, sociable kitchen/diner with a huge dining table, plus all the mod cons that one would expect in a brand new kitchen. Sea views can be enjoyed from the kitchen/diner.

The sea views can also be enjoyed from the bay window of the huge first floor formal lounge. Comfortable seating is provided plus a 51" flat screen TV.

A further sitting room is located on the ground floor. This room has a wii games console, flat screen TV, table football, board games, books.

There is also a ground floor WC & utility room.

Outside, the beautiful sea views can be enjoyed from a patio area to the front of the house. A back yard is also available.

The house benefits from superb sea views with the Cambrian coast, Harlech and a section of the Snowdonian mountain range also being within view. Access to the beach is directly opposite the house.

Glan y Mor is located directly on the seafront in beautiful Criccieth.

Criccieth is located to the east of the popular Llyn Peninsular and adjacent west of the Snowdonia National Park.

This pretty unspoilt small town has retained its Victorian charm with colourful terraced houses and hotels fronting onto two beaches which are divided by a stony outcrop which houses the impressive Criccieth castle.

Amenities in Criccieth include a wide variety of tasteful shops, tea rooms, restaurants, pubs and galleries. There is also a great park in Criccieth with children’s play area, bowls, football field, pitch and putt and nature reserve.

Access to Criccieth beach is directly opposite Glan y Mor. Several other beautiful beaches are within easy walking distance along the well maintained Wales coastal path which can be joined directly outside the house. Further afield Black Rock Sands, Harlech, Abersoch, Nefyn and Pwllheli beaches are only a short drive away.

Glan y Mor is located on Marine Terrace, which is located on the town's quieter west beach. Marine Terrace is a quiet road, generally being occupied by residential local traffic only.

Glan y Mor provides the ideal holiday destination from which to explore the fantastic beaches, beautiful mountains, picturesque villages, and the host of activities Northwest Wales has to offer. An excellent range of attractions await our guests, with wildlife centres, outdoor activities, train trips, historic sites, museums, fine gardens, golf and more to choose from.

Glan y Mor is only a few miles from the Snowdonia National Park which is a magnificent playground for those who love walking, mountain climbing or just scenery watching.

The Park covers 823 square miles of diverse landscapes. As well as being the largest National Park in Wales, Snowdonia boasts the highest mountain in Wales, and the largest natural lake in Wales, as well as a wealth of picturesque villages like Beddgelert (11 miles).

Snowdonia is renowned for being a very special place for walkers with mountain peaks, lakes, forests, rivers and coastal areas. The National Park is working on developing a network of walks and more will be added every year. In addition Snowdonia National Park has a vast amount of cycling and mountain biking trails suitable for all abilities. The Park also hosts other outdoor activities such as white water rafting and climbing.

Portmeirion is a popular tourist village located just outside of Porthmadog, approximately 8 miles from Criccieth. It is Wales' 3rd largest visitor attraction attracting 250, 000 visitors in 2009.

The village stands on a rugged cliff top on its own private peninsula overlooking Cardigan Bay. It is surrounded by 145 acres of sub-tropical woodlands and miles of sandy beaches. The village has always been run as a hotel, which uses the majority of the buildings as hotel rooms, together with shops, a cafe, tea-room, and restaurant.

Portmeirion has served as the location for numerous films and television shows, most famously serving as The Village in the 1960s television show The Prisoner. The show became a cult classic, and fans continue to visit Portmeirion, which hosts annual Prisoner fan conventions.

The popular harbour town of Porthmadog is located 5 miles from Criccieth. Porthmadog is rich in maritime history and in times gone by, it was a vital, busy shipping port for the international slate trade, brought down from Blaenau Ffestiniog. Both the Welsh Highland Railway and Ffestiniog Railway can be boarded at Porthmadog.

Further afield are the attractive towns of Beddgelert, Harlech, Pwllheli, Nefyn and Abersoch.

The house is professionally cleaned after each stay together with the launder of all linen and towels. I would request that if guests are staying by using Guest Points (rather than reciprocal exchange), then I would ask that they please cover the cleaning company charge of £240 (It is a huge house). Thank you.

Please note that Glan y Mor cannot to be used for parties. Glan y Mor is a terraced property with neighbours on either side. All our guests must be considerate to our neighbours in terms of their privacy and enjoyment of the peaceful nature of the locality. As such, in no circumstances can Glan y Mor be used to host loud music, discos, karaoke, etc.

Similarly, the front patio cannot be used to congregate for drinking and smoking etc. I must stress that Criccieth is a quiet, family-orientated holiday village and we must be considerate to our neighbours. Thank you

I am looking for people who would like to stay in our house during off peak periods which would be ideally Sunday to Friday, October to March inclusive and then any day of the week November, December and January (all outside of any school holidays). I can also potentially accommodate guests if there is last minute availability. Thank you for looking.
