Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement
Three years ago, we carried out a comprehensive renovation, and I can confidently say the apartment is now perfectly tailored to our family, with plenty of open space. We live on the very sunny fifth floor of a building with just 10 neighbors, fostering a close-knit and friendly community.
At home we have a piano, tons of toys, board games and books of all sorts.
We also have a two year old cat at home called Lizar.
It consists of a spacious open-plan kitchen-dining room-living room, fully equipped.
We have three bedrooms: the master bedroom with a king-size bed (180x200 cm), and the other two with 90x200 cm beds. The chaise longue sofa can also be set up for sleeping.
We also have a very bright balcony, a pantry, and two fully renovated bathrooms, one with a enormous square shower head (50x50).

Our apartment is located in Barakaldo (Vizcaya, Basque Country). Barakaldo is a city with approximately 100,000 inhabitants, offering all essential facilities, and located just 10 minutes by train or metro from Bilbao and 15 minutes from the airport (we are just next to the highway). Just a 10-15-minute walk away, you’ll find the Bilbao Exhibition Centre (BEC), the city's renowned trade fair venue along with major shopping destinations such as IKEA, outlets featuring top brands and all kinds of attractions for children (ball park, climbing wall, bowling alley, trampolines, virtual reality space...). Everything within a 20-minute walk. We also want to mention that a two-minute walk from our house is a urban spa (Qi Spa), which offers a not-expensive thermal circuit and various treatments and massages.
Barakaldo offers more than just the largest hospital in the province and a full range of amenities—it’s also home to a botanical garden covering over 65,000 square meters. The area is rich in natural and cultural attractions, with dozens of kilometers of pedestrian and bike-friendly paths connecting neighboring towns. Moreover, from our apartment, there's a network of bike paths spanning several kilometers, where in less than 16 km, you can reach the beach by bike, or get to the centre of Bilbao in just 20 minutes (BIZKAIBIZI electric bicycle station is just a two-minute walk away from home). These paths are part of the Metropolitan Bilbao Green Belt, making it an ideal destination for nature and culture enthusiasts alike.
The neighborhood is peaceful and centrical, yet there are several supermarkets and bars serving tapas and pintxos just a 2-minute walk from the apartment. As told before, public transport is conveniently located a 5-minute walk away, providing quick connections to Bilbao, the beach in Getxo, and Portugalete, home to the Hanging Bridge, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, all in under 15 minutes.
Within a 7-minute walk, you can reach the Bilbao estuary, surrounded by green spaces and ample areas for walking and relaxation.
We have a parking space in the underground car park right in front of our house.

Le mot de la fin
The cat lives in our apartment. It requires very little care, but if you were to stay at our place, we’d ask you to make sure it always has food and water (which usually lasts about three days). If you wouldn’t be able or prefer not to, a neighbor could come by every two days to take care of it.
If you agree, we offer you to exchange our vehicles.
As we believe that this way of traveling is based on mutual respect and trust, we do not charge any cleaning fee in the belief that everyone - we too - will take care of other people's homes as well as our own. However, in exchanges where this fee is required, we will also charge it in the same terms and amount.
In the end, we are respectful and good people looking forward to meeting people like us.
