Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement
Our apartment is in the center of the village of Foz do Arelho, a 20-minute walk from the beach and 10 minutes from the Óbidos Lagoon.
It is located in a building with one large garden, where you can relax and soak up the sun or enjoy an outdoor meal. If you have a car, you also have a parking space in the garage. And, if you climb to the top of the building, you can also enjoy the wide and beautiful view of the Lagoon and the village.
The apartment has three spacious bedrooms, two with a double bed and one with a single bed. All have windows overlooking the back garden, and two also have wardrobes and desks. There are two bathrooms, one with toilet and one with shower. The living room and kitchen are in the same space, with a dining table overlooking the front garden. It has TV, Wi-Fi, radio and two sofas that can be converted into double beds. The house is equipped with a washing machine, microwave, fridge and freezer, electric oven and stove, as well as an extractor fan. There is also a portable heater for the winter months. Because we have two lovely cats and the apartment is on the ground floor, most of our windows are protected by a cat-specific outdoor netting.

Ce que vous allez adorer dans le quartier
The apartment is in the heart of the village, very close on foot to all the necessary services: supermarkets, cafes, bakery/pastry shop, pharmacy, restaurants and ATM. We are a 20-minute walk away from a magnificent and extensive sandy beach and a 10-minute walk from the Óbidos Lagoon. The beach is guarded, has a blue flag (certified quality), an area of tents and umbrellas available for rent and several beach facilities and restaurants. On one side, we have the sea, perfect for lovers of waves and surfing; and, on the other side, we have the Lagoon, where we can bathe in calmer waters, ideal for families with small children. The beach allows for long walks, with great views, including Berlengas Island and Bom Sucesso/Peniche. There is also a walkway, with several viewpoints with stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean. For those who like to walk, there are several trails to explore, either on the sea side or on the Lagoon side.
The Óbidos Lagoon allows you to practice various sports, such as sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, rowing, jet-skiing, etc. You can also take interpretive boat trips, with guided tours and historical contextualization of the surrounding area.
Foz do Arelho is also very close (10km) to the beautiful Bay of São Martinho do Porto and other bathing areas, such as Nazaré (the biggest waves in the world), Supertubos, Baleal and Peniche (all about 35km), ideal for surfing and with very particular charms typical of historic villages, including a number of excellent restaurants with traditional food.
The nearest village (10km) is Caldas da Rainha, with a strong cultural component with references to painting and ceramics. It has several museums, integrated around the Dom Carlos I Park, which is one of the most beautiful gardens in Portugal. Every morning, there is a market where you can buy fruits and vegetables, sold by producers in the region. This open-air market is one of the city's ex-libris. During the summer months, there are daytime and evening festive activities.
Other points of great interest and a must-visit are the small medieval village of Óbidos (15km away), with its castle and walls and recognized as a "literary city" by UNESCO, or Alcobaça (35km away), with its famous monastery (World Heritage Site) and castle, in addition to the always tasty conventual sweets...
Lisbon Airport is just one hour away (95km) and Porto Airport is just over two hours away (250km). The important and beautiful university city of Coimbra is just over an hour away (130km).
