Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement
Our home is a terraced house from the 1930s, with a spacious lounge / dining area and a back garden where you can relax in the sun at summertime.
There are 3 bedrooms on the first floor: our two children's bedrooms which are spacious with a single bed in each of them, and a small room which we use as guest room, with a brand new single sofa bed. We also have a futon mattress which you can use if you require an extra bed. The bathroom includes both a shower cubicle and a bathtub.
At the beginning of 2018, we had our loft converted, so our top floor now has a bright and airy double bedroom and an en-suite bathroom with a large shower cubicle.
Our kitchen, which we refurbished in January 2017, opens up on the dining area. It is fully equipped with a fridge/freezer, cooker, microwave, dishwasher, kettle, Nespresso coffee machine, as well as a washing machine.
You are welcome to use our bikes during your stay: we have 3 adult bikes and 1 bike suitable for a 10-14 y.o. child.

Ce que vous allez adorer dans le quartier
Milborough Crescent is a quiet and residential street, with very little traffic as it's a cul-de-sac (our end of the street is blocked off so there is no access to/from the South Circular). We moved there in 2013 and were pleasantly surprised by its community feel: residents really look out for one another.
It's located within a 10-12 min walk to Hither Green station and 10 minutes to Lee station: both have direct trains to London Bridge (near Tower Bridge and Tower of London) and Charing Cross (for Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden and the South Bank).
You will find several convenience stores within less than 5mn, as well as some lovely coffee places: You don't bring me flowers (in front of Hither Green station), Arlo & Moe on Springbank Road near the back exit of Hither Green station, and Milk on Manor Lane.
There's a lovely park, Manor Gardens, which is ideal for families with young children as well as for picnics.
You can also catch the 202 bus at the end of our road to get to Blackheath Village, a quaint little place with a wide choice of restaurants, shops and a great bakery. From there, you can either continue by bus to Greenwich or walk through the beautiful park and admire the fantastic view from Greenwich Observatory.

Le mot de la fin
This is our main home, which explains why it's only available during some of the school holidays - usually one week in February or May - and the last two weeks in August. We're also open to doing a few weekend exchanges (GuestPoints or reciprocal). Please note that we tend to spend Christmas at home, so aren't looking for exchanges at that time of year.
