Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement
Lovely three-story, 5-bedroomed Victorian family home. Stylish, cosy, and comfortable with all mod cons throughout.
The interior:
The ground floor is bright and airy with a large and comfy living room with bay sash windows, a wood burning stove, large TV, PS4, and smart TV with all subscriptions. There is a walk-through area with large well-stocked book shelves and tropical fish tank, leading to the open-plan kitchen dining room. The kitcen is spacious, bright and well-equipped with lots of worktop space, a large dining area, and plenty of natural light from the french doors, which lead to the patio and South-facing garden. Under the stairs in the hallway, is a handy toilet!
On the first floor there are 4x bedrooms and a family bathroom, with bath, separate shower, toilet, sink and vanity unit. The bedrooms are as follows:
- Master bedroom, at the front of the house, with large bay sash windows, King-sized bed, two large wardrobes and a chest of drawers with plenty of available space.
- Double room with double bed, bookshelf and antique desk.
- Two children's bedrooms – one with a bunk bed, with play area underneath, plenty of toys and views over the garden. The other has a single bed and pull-out Queen-sized futon for sleepovers! Both children's bedrooms have plenty of toys and books and available storage.
On the top floor there is a brand new, bright and spacious double room with sky lights, and leafy outlook over the rooves of the village. There is a double bed, desk area setup with monitor and printer, and a modern ensuite with walk-in shower and toilet.
Throughout the house we have Alexa speakers setup for music and radio!
Outside:
The outside space includes a patio, with seating area under a leafy pergola, and a grassy lawn with flowerbeds. There is a BBQ and smoker for outdoor meals, and a trampoline and paddling pool available for use. There are two adult bikes and 2 children’s bikes, along with scooters and other outside games.
There is a studio room at the end of the garden with an additional double sofa bed, a punch-bag and a rowing machine. Note: Pics taken of garden are in winter, it looks a lot nicer in spring and summer!
A welcome pack will be provided with lots of information on the house as well local recommendations, guides and maps.

Ce que vous allez adorer dans le quartier
We live on a quiet residential street in the centre of the village of Henfield in the beautiful West Sussex countryside.
The large village is friendly and well-equipped, with the high street less than a minute’s walk away. The high street boasts three pubs, two cafes, three takeaways, a hardware shop, a butchers, a greengrocers, beauticians, nail bar, hairdressers, gift shops, vets, and most importantly a very well-stocked supermarket.
Henfield is particularly great if you're active and you love the great outdoors. There is a leisure centre with well-equipped gym, squash courts, tennis courts, paddle courts and a children’s softplay, there is also a skate park for older kids. Everything is less than 10 minutes walk from the house.
But the biggest draw is the surrounding countryside, you are no more than 10mins walk from proper countryside and Sussex is well known for it's rolling countryside and footpath bridle ways and “twittens” (a network of ancient pathways connecting the villages away from the main roads). The South Downs national park and the famous Devils Dyke are also only a 10 minute drive so you will not run out of places to walk and explore.
Brighton is also nearby with its famous attractions including the pier, the beach and the excellent Laines for shopping, as well as an array of restaurants, bars, pubs, cafes and nightlife. Brighton is approx. a 25min drive or 35mins on a bus that runs from Henfield high street every hour, every day and into the evenings.
In the other direction, you can get to London in under two hours drive and on public transport.
Gatwick airport is a 35mins drive and very convenient to fly in and out of

Le mot de la fin
We have an adoring, friendly Springador named Luna, an independently-minded cat called Titch, and tropical fish! For shorter reciprocal stays we may be able to find alternative arrangements for our dog, or we are happy to take her with us if we are travelling within Europe (and by ferry) - but for reciprocal stays of more than a week/10 days Luna would need a dog-loving family to take care of her :)
