Our bright and airy home is situated on 1 acre while also being walkable to downtown Los Gatos where you will find shopping, restaurants and more - a unique consideration for this highly desirable area. You will have ultimate privacy while still being close to a number of activities and destinations. Our home offers perfect "California living," which means that our living space flows seamlessly between the inside and outside, effectively doubling our livable space. We are able to take advantage of this due to the temperate climate in our area (not without its swings, of course). We have spent the last 5 years renovating our home into one that we will live in forever with many details, especially around quality materials and entertaining, not overlooked. Not only do we have a large outdoor patio with multiple seating areas, outdoor dining, fire pit and kitchen, but there is also a plunge pool/hot tub, pickleball basketball court, zip line and plenty of nature watching. The home itself offers a one-of-a-kind fully-custom kitchen and butler's pantry, open living areas, 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. The bedrooms and bathrooms are not large, but you’re not visiting for the bedrooms anyway! We know you'll love the space and look forward to sharing with you as well.

Staying in our home is a vacation within itself, but we are also central to many Bay Area landmarks. We located in the South Bay area, about 45 mins drive from San Francisco, 30 mins from Santa Cruz (beach), 15 mins from San Jose, 1.5 hrs from Big Sur and 3.5 hrs from Lake Tahoe to name a few sites. The town of Los Gatos is vibrant, safe and full of great shopping and restaurants including restaurants from notable Michelin starred chefs. We are in a quiet area above downtown where most lots are 1 acre, but are still walkable to town via a trail behind our house. Walking to town is about .75 miles. It is situated at the base of the Santa Cruz mountains, with the mountains essentially starting in our backyard. We are surrounded by old-growth pines, redwoods and oak trees, contributing to the idyllic setting

Please note that this is our family home. WE DO NOT ALLOW ANY PARTIES OR EVENTS OF ANY KIND!! In fact, we prefer single families or couples. No smoking and no pets!
We adhere strictly to the number of guests specified in the exchange request. We do not allow any additional, unannounced visitors, even for brief drop-ins or short visits. Transparency and honesty in your booking details are greatly valued and help us provide the best possible stay for you.
Please be aware that our home is not well-suited for young children (despite having two of our own). This is due to the presence natural surfaces that must be properly maintained and a pool area that lacks protective barriers. Otherwise, we love children!
Our home is very well cared for, much of it new. We hope that any guests will have the same attention to detail, cleanliness and respect for our home so that we can enjoy it for years to come.
A cleaning fee of $200 will be collected with each stay (cleaning fee for the way out, we pay the way in).
