Why Choose Our Home?
Our house is located just outside of Prague, in charming Czech town of Říčany, offering a perfect mix of small-town tranquility and easy access to Prague. The city center of Prague is just a 25-minute train ride away, with frequent connections every 15-30 minutes or by bus. Within walking distance, you’ll find cozy cafés, a butcher, a bakery, local shops, parks, and picturesque ponds with lovely views.
Step onto our 50m2 terrace and enjoy a peaceful view of our colorful garden, where birds and bumblebees add to the lively atmosphere. On warm summer evenings, you can sit by the fire, roast sausages or marshmallows, and admire the starry sky. Garden furniture, badminton set, balls are available for your enjoyment.
Right around the corner, there’s a fun playground with traffic lights for kids, and a nearby park features a horse stable. You’re welcome to borrow our bicycles to explore the surrounding lakes and countryside.

Our home in Říčany (highest quality of life in the Czech Republic according to Deloitte) is an ideal base for discovering both the vibrant capital and the natural beauty of the Czech Republic. Prague’s famous sights, including Prague Castle, Charles Bridge, and the Old Town, are just a short trip away. But beyond Prague, you can also explore stunning castles like Karlštejn, Český Šternberk, Konopiště, and Průhonice with beautiful garden or huge arboretum in Čestlice, or many other UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
For nature lovers, the region offers scenic lakes and rivers—enjoy the peaceful Orlík Reservoir or paddle down the Sázava River, a great spot for canoeing and hiking. Říčany itself is a welcoming town with plenty of green spaces and a relaxed atmosphere, and many summer events, making it a perfect getaway.

- A free bus (stop just around the corner) or free next bike sharing connects you to the train station. A ticket covering Prague and surrounding areas costs about €2 and is valid for 90 minutes, covers whole Prague including metro lines.
- The nearest airport is Václav Havel Airport Prague (PRG), which is about 30-40 minutes away by car or approximately 1 hour and 12 minutes by public transport.
- We have a friendly pet budgie named Zuli. If possible, we’d appreciate it if you could feed him occasionally. You’re welcome to let him fly around the living room, but that’s entirely up to you. We can also give it to our friends if you opt not to take care of it :)
- Garden has automatic irrigation system so there is not much to care.
- To help you navigate the area, we will provide a detailed guide with local tips and recommendations, along with a Google Maps layer highlighting important and interesting locations.
- If needed, we can discuss the possibility of a car exchange. Our car hyundai i30 combi is a manual transmission (built in 2014) and has full insurance to cover you. We also have two child car seats available.
- High-speed reliable Unify WiFi Internet is available in house and whole garden, along with a dedicated office room featuring a desk and an external display. In the living room you can enjoy our XGIMI projector and stream movies on a big wall. There's also a CD player in the children's room.
- We are non-smokers and kindly ask that you do not smoke inside the house.
- More photos are available upon request.
- There is tons to see, do with or without kids in the Czechia, but if you want to explore beyond: Vienna/Austria or Berlin/Germany are 4 hours away on a train from Prague, Dressden/Germany is 2.5 hours away from Prague. Munich/Germany about 4.5 hours on a bus from Prague.
