Gorgeous, rustic wooden cabin with stunning sea views. Comfortable Queen bed, Nespresso coffee machine to enjoy the views from bed with a morning coffee. We have a 5* rating on Airbnb from 21 reviews (Guest Favourite and Superhost) and 9.9 rating on booking.com.
Enjoy the native bird song and garden, overlooking the beautiful lagoon of Enclosure bay, a 2 minute walk away. Perfect couples or solo retreat, back to nature.
Kitchenette inside - with microwave, bar fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle, a single induction hob with pot, plus BBQ and outdoor kitchen sink, and hot outdoor shower on the deck. Our Eco toilet is a composting system, new, clean changed after every stay. This is in a separate mini cabin 4 metres from the main cabin back door.
Dining outside on the deck, or inside at the bar if you prefer. Both with those stunning seaviews.
Complimentary use of kayaks (single and double) and SUP available for you to explore the bay and coast.Life jackets provided.
It's possible to sleep a child over age 10 on the couch, extra linen and towels provided for an extra charge of $25/night.

It's an 80 metre walk up the path once you arrive at Kereru Cabin, so don't pack too heavily, and enjoy some hill walking fitness.
You can arrive by ferry as a foot passenger from downtown Auckland (Island Direct or Fullers 360 ferries 40 minute trip), and get a taxi to Kereru Cabin in 10 minutes. Stop on the way in Oneroa village to pick up provisions for your BBQ or sunset snacks. Alternatively you can bring your car over on the Sealink ferry from Half Moon bay or Wynyard Quarter.
You can also hire a car, or hire Ebikes on the island. It's possible to catch a public bus from the ferry terminal when you arrive at Matiatia, to Pope's Corner, where you can walk 15 minutes down the hill to Enclosure bay and Kereru Cabin.
Small cleaning fee applies for short stays, slightly larger for longer stays.
