Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement
Our home is a 200 year old miner’s cottage which has been lovingly extended to increase the living space and thoughtfully modernised to retain its cottage character. It is set at the head of a little valley surrounded by forest, with walks direct from the gate at the top of the garden into the forest and views looking across the river Severn to the Cotswold hills. The garden offers a number of terraces for sitting out and enjoying the surroundings and also has a summer house with furniture.
Although it is our second home it is set up with all the home comforts needed so that you can just walk in and relax.
Wildlife is regularly seen at the property with deer a regular visitor to the quiet lane the cottage is set on and even the occasional fox and wild boar spotted.
The cottage is dog friendly with an enclosed garden and the flooring downstairs is wood or stone so no problem with muddy feet after a walk!

The cottage is located in the Forest of Dean, an ancient woodland. There is an abundance of walking available throughout the forest with lots close to the cottage. There are also a number of Forest attractions that children would enjoy including a steam train.
Within 30 minutes from the cottage you can be in the Wye Valley, an area of natural outstanding beauty which offers riverside picnics and walks, kayaking and paddle boarding as well as a number of castles.
Within an hour of the cottage you can travel into the Cotswolds, Herefordshire (cider country) and cross the river Wye to explore Wales including Cardiff.
If you are adventurous there is lots of mountain biking on offer including a family cycle trail around the forest tracks as well as downhill trails at Cannop cycle centre.
If you enjoy eating out there are plenty of options within easy distance.
