Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement
Our house is located in the center of Anyksciai - a lovely small town in east of Lithuania. It has 5 rooms, 2 bathrooms, reasonable size yard with a small playground for kids. There is a fireplace for cosy evenings and everything you need for your comfortable stay. As it is a small town and some of the poeple have dogs living outside, sometimes you can hear them barking - please keep that in mind - this is a center of the town, not the countryside :).
Ce que vous allez adorer dans le quartier
Anykščiai is a charming pedestriant town in Lithuania, known for its breathtaking nature, rich history, and unique attractions. Located in the scenic Aukštaitija region, it offers a perfect mix of adventure, culture, and relaxation.
One of its highlights is the Treetop Walking Path, a spectacular canopy-level trail that provides stunning views of the surrounding forests. Nearby, the legendary Puntukas Stone, Lithuania’s second-largest boulder, is steeped in folklore. History lovers will enjoy the Narrow-Gauge Railway Museum, which showcases vintage trains, while thrill-seekers can try the summer bobsleigh track at Kalita Hill.
For a more tranquil experience, visitors can explore the picturesque Lake Rubikiai, the historic St. Matthias Church, or the poetic Anyksciai Forest, immortalized in Lithuanian literature. The town is also home to the Angel Museum and several cultural sites dedicated to famous Lithuanian writers.
Anykščiai is conveniently located in northeastern Lithuania, making it an excellent stop for travelers exploring the country. It is about 110 km from Vilnius, Lithuania’s capital, which is roughly a 1.5-hour drive via well-maintained highways. This makes it easy for visitors to take a day trip or a weekend getaway from the city.
Kaunas, Lithuania’s second-largest city, is about 130 km away, requiring around a 2-hour drive. The town is also well connected to Utena (38 km), Panevėžys (65 km), and other key regional hubs, making it an accessible destination from various parts of Lithuania.
