Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement
Nestled in the heart of New Orleans, our home is a historical shotgun double converted into a single family home and designed with a mix of traditional, modern, and eclectic décor, creating a comfortable, art-filled retreat perfect for both families and adult groups.
Our home has:
- 4 bedrooms;
- 3 full baths;
- Family living space with an indoor jungle gym, soon-to-be installed climbing wall, large smart television with a hook up for a Nintendo switch if you bring one (ours usually travels with us), and oversized sectional;
- Separate adult sitting room with two full couches (one leather, one velvet);
- Independent dining room with a bar and separate work station with portable monitors to hook up to;
- Large open kitchen with custom cypress cabinetry, stove, oven, microwave, side-by-side fridge/freezer, dishwasher, filtered water, drip coffee pot, and nespresso;
- HVAC;
- Laundry room with washer and dryer;
- Front and back porches for socializing; and
- Whimsical backyard with a treehouse, swings, bounce house, basketball hoop, outdoor television and sofa, a fire pit, nerf blasters, water blasters, sports equipment of all kinds, and bikes you're welcome to use.
The main bedroom has a king bed with a memory foam mattress, television, rowing machine, and a large en suite bathroom with a clawfoot tub, separate shower, and a towel warmer. The second bedroom provides another independent adult space with a full bed, crystal chandelier, television, and reading space. The two children or group bedrooms have a total of 6 single beds, made up of two sets of bunk beds and one trundle bed, as well as very comfortable, full-sized futon. The second bathroom is between the two group bedrooms and has double sinks with a shower/tub combination. The third bathroom is across the hall with a beautiful shower and antique vanity. Additional full and twin sized air mattresses, as well as a pack 'n play and a stroller, can be made available upon request.
For family groups, we have more toys than you can dream of, so no need to bring anything with you. We can also provide babysitter references if you need them. All of our babysitters are local teachers, so they have gone through thorough background checks and are highly experienced with children.
For groups without children, our space has been specifically curated for a couple of very social, art loving adults, so expect to find everything you could ever want or need to make the most of your trip to New Orleans. We also have a hard-wired natural gas generator that can run the whole home so, on the off-chance you find yourself stuck here during a storm, no need to ever worry about losing power or AC.
Note: We do have a large Great Dane-Standard Poodle mix mutt. He won't be here when you are and does not seem to affect most people's allergies, but he is not strictly hypo-allergenic so please take that into consideration if it is an issue for you.

Ce que vous allez adorer dans le quartier
We live in the Bywater, a friendly, art and music filled neighborhood just outside the French Quarter and steps to Crescent Park along the Mississippi River. We are surrounded by restaurants, bars, cafes, music venues, galleries, parks, and playgrounds, and are a short walk to the Marigny, French Quarter, and CBD. Our home is also an easy bike ride to Jazz Fest, Voodoo Fest, Bayou Boogaloo, French Quarter Fest, and pretty much every other New Orleans festival.
Le mot de la fin
We have a lovely bar set up in our dining room and a bar cart in the front sitting room. You are welcome to the drinks on the bar cart and to use any of the barware, but please do not take the liquor from the bar itself. Many of our bottles are ones that we have been collecting for years and, while not all are of great monetary value, they hold great sentimental value for us (our wedding, honeymoon, trips, every Father's Day, etc.).
