Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement
Available for singles/couples sharing one large double bed; sadly we ****cannot host children, pets or smokers****.
Our home is a beautifully-designed, recently renovated ground-floor one-bedroom apartment equipped with a combination of modern, high-quality fixtures and fittings and antique items inherited from my great-grandmother, all expertly restored by local craftsmen. Plenty of light fixtures and hardwood oak flooring throughout.
Bedroom with fully-upholstered large double bed (180x200cm), featuring high-quality Magniflex mattress, feather down bedding, choice of pillows, bedside tables, plenty of charging sockets, reading lamps, luxury fabric blackout curtains, and an amazing antique brass chandelier. Bedroom window leading to a quiet garden space (inner block) lets in plenty of morning light if you leave the curtains open.
Shower room with a large wash basin, LED-lit mirrors and a large towel heater. Separate toilet room with a standalone bidet, additional hand-held bidet shower, hand washbasin, mirror and another towel heater.
Large lounge room features a solid oak dining table with 4 comfortably upholstered dining chairs (which can nicely double as a work space), 55-inch Samsung TV, a newly upholstered antique lounger, and a modern kitchen nook with a breakfast bar counter, fridge, oven/microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. The window treatment includes electric blackout curtains and rollup blinds for privacy. Please note: The antique lounger can be used (and is listed here) as a put-up bed but ONLY for emergencies and would NOT be comfortable for a larger than small adult and/or for extended periods.
Only 3 steps up from street level to enter the building, then no further barriers or elevation to reach the apartment. Ideal for people with mobility restrictions or carrying large luggage.
7 minute walk to metro/tram/bus station Andel and all shopping amenities. Kitchen is fully equipped except for a coffee machine as I have an amazing coffee place 100m away and prefer their flat white. An excellent yoga studio is 250m away, a good gym also very close. High-speed fiber-optic internet ideal for remote work.
Strictly NO kids, NO pets, NO smoking.
DISCLAIMER: After reviewing Home Exchange advice about fraudulent ads with pictures of "absolutely extraordinary, magazine-worthy homes" I note that this is my home and it is real, come visit and see for yourself :-) The pictures were done by a professional photographer when the home was entered into an interior design competition.

Ce que vous allez adorer dans le quartier
You can get to Prague Old Town, Prague castle and the Lesser Quarter (Mala Strana) by an easy 30-40 min walk, or 15-20 min on a tram/metro. Easy 7 minute walk to metro Andel, trams, bus station and all amenities.
Great coffee place @triko.kafe.kolonial and beautiful yoga studio @yogamovementprague just around the corner. Good cafe for working on your laptop is @kavarnacohledajmeno. Good gyms (Factory Pro Na Knizeci, Next.Move Smichov) within reach. Local grocery store (Zabka) is 100m away. Large supermarket, pharmacy, shopping mall, cinema, barber shop, food market and plenty of restaurants are 7 min walk at Andel.
As the rest of Prague and Czech Republic, the area is completely safe. Green spaces are all around you, parks (Mrazovka, Na Skalce, Santoska), grown trees line my street on both sides, and the river bank offering fantastic cycling and running options is 15 min walk away.

Le mot de la fin
ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE
Uber to/from the PRG airport is 700CZK (28EUR) and takes 20minutes. Public transport costs 40CZK/1.6EUR but takes 1 hour and you would have to switch between bus, two metro lines and walk for 10 minutes. So with luggage, I would definitely recommend Uber. Main train station (Hlavni Nadrazi) is 30min away on a direct tram number 9. Main bus terminal (Florenc) is 5 metro stops away (yellow line).
MONEY
NEVER change money on the street. Take out the small amount of local CZK cash using your home debit card from any local bank ATM, except Euronet ones (terrible exchange rates). If you must exchange cash currency, ALWAYS ask upfront how much you will get and verify the rate on Google. You only need little cash anyway as all restaurants, shops and even many market stalls now take cards.
GETTING AROUND
NEVER take taxi from the street; instead use Uber/Bolt, public transport or just walk. Most of Prague city center is walkable. Metro/trams are easy. Pre-purchase tickets on the PID Litacka app and do not forget to ***VALIDATE*** each ticket in the app before riding. Single ride 40CZK/1.6EUR, 24hr 120CZK/5EUR, 72hr 330CZK/13EUR. Local pink communal bikes (Rekola) and e-scooters from Lime/Bolt available for hire. Tourists red hop-on/hop-off buses are NOT needed (or any good). For the best sightseeing tour around the city center, take tram 22/23 there and back.
PARKING
Free street parking overnight (8pm-8am) in my neighbourhood. Paid during the day (8am-8pm), 20CZK/hour, max. 24hrs. Use the EasyPark app and park on the pink (visitor) zones which are cheaper than resident ones. On the street, it's all one blue line, so to see which zone is which, use the app.
