Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement

My home is often described as a cosy Swiss chalet getaway. It’s located 10 minutes from the quaint, artistic and sporty town of Wakefield QC, and 35 minutes from downtown Ottawa, ON. Our home sits on an acre of land, half of which is covered by a hilly forest. We have four bedrooms (the first floor bedroom has a queen size bed; the second floor bedroom has a queen; and the two top floor bedrooms have a king and a bunk bed). We have three full bathrooms (one on each floor). We have a cosy screened-in porch, which is terrific during the more buggy season of May and June. It connects to our kitchen (located on the second floor). The kitchen is an open concept, seating 8 at the dinner table, two at the island, and several more on the couches near the piano. Our first floor also has a seating area with a couch and table, and it is where we kick back and watch TV. Our home is kid-friendly, with an outdoor trampoline and a large fire pit to roast marshmallows! I’ll add pictures of the bedrooms soon (but feel free to message me for more details).

Our home is a short walk from the Edelweiss Golf Course (which also serves brunch on the weekends and in the winter it transforms into 10km of groomed cross country ski trails), is a 30-minute walk (or 5 minute drive) from Edelweiss Ski, and has access to hidden local trails behind our home. Our water is sourced from Edelweiss lake and is pristine (and tested monthly). Our neighbourhood is friendly, spacious and quiet, filled with acre lots and plenty of forest. Note that our street is packed gravel (so not ideal for kids’ biking).

We are a short drive to all the wonderful amenities that the surrounding municipalities of La Peche, Cantley, and Chelsea offer (beaches; caves; waterpark; golf courses; ski hills; mountain biking; paved biking trails; paddling; restaurants; music; art and more); and of course, we are a close drive to the National Capital Region (with all its museums, and other cultural/delicious sites).
