Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement
My home is my sanctuary. Located in the center of Bucharest, on the first floor, no elevator, it has a vintage-bourjois-modernist interior setting and is rather spacious. I also have a cute, white cat living with me (very non-intrusive, kind to anyone and it does not miau). My apartment is around 100 sqm, 2 bedrooms, each with double beds (one of them very wide) kitchen , bathroom and another separate WC, living room. It is decorated with pieces of furniture that I inherited from my grandma’, my parents and also other pieces combined in a blend that I find lovely. I like this fusion interior design and atmosphere which I created and hope that you will feel very comfortable in my home. The Bauhaus-style blockhouse was build in the '30, and has a half of its facades turned towards a wide busy boulevard (can be rather noisy during the day) and the other facade faces a small street. The metro station is seconds away, right in front of the building entrance. (only 2 metro-stations away in a direct line is the Central railway-station where you arrive from the airport. So it's very simple to get here)
Ce que vous allez adorer dans le quartier
Placed at the end of a little street called Str. Aurel Vlaicu nr 166, corner to a large busy boulevard called Stefan cel Mare it has a big advantage to have the metro station (called "Stefan cel Mare") just steps away from my entrance in the building, so you can use the subway to get wherever you want. The very central area of the city, called “Little Paris” where you can walk-by the Kings Palace or the Romanian Concert Hall The Atheneum (and why not listen to one of the Thursday or Friday classical concerts as the acoustics is very good) is only a half an hour nice walk away from my apartment. Strolling along the old local streets followed by some small, green parks (Ioanid Parc and Icoanei Parc) only minutes away from my location can be a nice experience and you can get the taste of a local quarter which escaped demolition during the communist era. Taxis (Uber and Bolt) are very, very cheap, so using one is just around 4 Euros, but in rush hours Bucharest has heavy traffic, so my advice is to walk or use the metro. There are are nice cafes at very short walking distance.
As I fluently speak English and German (and I also own a second apartment) I might often also be in town during your stay and I can provide guided tours on request, as I am doing this on a regular bases with external tourists too.
