Welcome to The Shores - the premier oceanfront apartments in Santa Monica offering resort-style amenities at the beach. Enjoy stunning views of the Pacific Ocean from the privacy of your apartment balcony or stroll along Main Street in Santa Monica to explore the trendy boutiques and award winning restaurants.

At The Shores, residents enjoy the upscale beach vibe at one of the most highly sought-after addresses in Santa Monica. Resort-style apartment amenities include an Olympic size swimming pool with laps and spa, fully equipped fitness center and 24-hour courtesy attendants.

My one bedroom apartment is on the 10th floor, facing North with a view from the balcony of the Pacific Ocean and amazing sunsets and sunrises. The apartment tower was built in the 1960s but has been constantly updated -- our floor's hallway was completely renovated in the past six months.

The living room has a sectional sofa that can also sleep one person. It has a smart TV, a portable AC unit as well as a dining table and desk. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, a stove/oven, a fridge and a microwave.

The bedroom has a king-sized bed, dresser and smart TV as well as a walk-in closet. The bathroom has a tub and a separate shower. The bed easily sleep two people. Another person can sleep on the sofa, or I'd be happy to bring in a portable or inflatable bed for you if you want to bring an extra person or two. The building is also very dog friendly.

The patio has a table and chairs and his accessible from the living room or the bedroom.

You are welcome to use my Cannondale Mountain bike - and you can also use my car if you wish - we can figure out an additional fee. The car is parked in underground, secure parking.

The building is secure and requires a fob to get in the entrance, to use the elevators, to get into my apartment, and to use the pool and gym.

There is a wonderful, large courtyard between the two apartment buildings, and you are free to use the swimming pool, gym and hot tub.

NOTE - the washer/dryer are in a communal room on a lower floor. It has plenty of machines.

I live in Santa Monica, which is in the West Side of Los Angeles (we were not near the recent forest fires). Only a park separates me from the ocean, complete with bike/running-path. Santa Monica is famous for its more moderate temperatures (it never gets too hot or too cold), as well as its quaint/trendy/historic landmarks.

You are just a 3 minute walk to the beach. There are also nice public tennis courts in the adjacent park.

Across the street is Main Street, known for its many restaurants, bars and boutiques. Several blocks away is super-trendy Abbot Kinney Blvd, replete with the coolest shops and restaurants in LA. In addition, I am just one mile away from the world-famous Santa Monica Pier (and Ferris Wheel) as well as the Third Street Promenade, a traffic-free street with shops and other attractions. Venice and its oft-photographed boardwalk/muscle beach are also just a couple of blocks away.

Almost everything is accessible by foot, bike, blades or scooters. There are three markets within walking distance and several grocery stores within a quick drive or bike ride. There are also numerous coffee shops and ecclectic restaurants, casual and formal, within a few blocks. If you'd like to take a tour of LA, the tour busses are close by in downtown Santa Monica.

Other West Side towns like Malibu, Brentwood, Culver City, Beverly Hills, and West Hollywood are within 20-30 minute driving distance. I'm also fairly close to the 10 and 405 freeways.
