Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement

Our house is lovely and light filled with lots of comfortable seating. It has a gorgeous patio filled with mosaics made by Dory. The backyard always has some spot of shade to relax in while recovering from or planning for your next adventure, and it also has internet access. It has a mosaicked fire pit that makes for nice hanging out, and warming when the temperatures drop. There is a small park with play equipment right out the back fence gate. We love to cook and our kitchen and backyard grill are well-equipped. It's a marvelous place to use as a home base for all of Boulder's many offerings. We have a garage available for parking a car.

Our house is in a pleasant and friendly neighborhood in a town that's ranked by Trip.com as one of the most forward thinking in the U.S. Our neighborhood was the first in the nation to become "bee safe" by working together to create a safe environment for bees and other pollinators. But we're not all serious! We have neighborhood game nights and gatherings in the parks -- there's three different ones within blocks of our house.

Our home is convenient to transportation, biking, and beautiful hiking. It’s very easy to access the city’s many miles of trails and bike paths. The city has 155 miles/250 km of hiking trails in its surrounding open space! Even closer is a community garden nearby that makes for lovely evening walks with mountains and sunset creating views you will never forget.

It's five minutes walk to the stop for a bus that runs every 5 to 20 minutes the entire length of the town. Our home is a 15 minute bus or bike/5 minute drive to several grocery stores and restaurants. If you head south, that quick trip will take you to the Pearl Street pedestrian mall and a farmer's market on Saturday mornings and Wednesday evenings. Head the opposite direction on the same bus route, and just as close is NoBo Art District which has First Friday art shows, live music, and lots of restaurants and shops. Boulder's quite a foodie town and has lots of interesting dining options, from Michelin stars to food trucks. We have a house guide that includes details about all of these options.

Also there's a public airport transport bus. The entire airport trip by bus takes less than two hours. It's about an hour by car.

We don't smoke. Unfortunately, the pizza oven does, A LOT. For that reason, it must not be used. The smoke upsets the neighbors and the fire department. So, please no smoking of any kind. Of course, we'll treat your house with the same respect.

Boulder, Colorado gets about 300 sunny days per year. The city's semi-arid climate is generally mild, with warm summers and snowy winters.

We are open to “trading” cars during a reciprocal exchange. If it does work to swap cars, you won't have to pay for parking at trailheads because we already did so with our car registration.

If you're a skier there's a local ski area, Eldora Mountain Resort, that has snowboarding, downhill and cross-country/skate skiing about 45 minutes away. Also, during the winter there's several snowshoeing trails less than an hour away. Rocky Mountain National Park is about one hour away. Even if you're not a hiker, a drive to the top of Trail Ridge road -- 12,000 feet/3700 meters is an experience of a lifetime.
