Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement
We have a 40-acre property, on which we run cattle, but you don’t have to look after them. They are inquisitive and be warned that they are forever looking for ways to get you to throw them some hay over the fence. From our house, you look out to towering gum trees, pastures and a lovely little stream only 60 metres from the front gate. While it is not mowed, you are welcome to walk anywhere on the property.
The house is a brick house which has two queen bedrooms and a single bedroom which doubles as my office, two bathrooms, and room for a car in the garage. It is open and airy with the majority of the living and kitchen area facing a series of large casement windows and doors. From there, you look out onto our pool and outdoor BBQ space. We have carpets and ceramic tiles throughout the house and a large fireplace for our month or so of relatively cooler weather during winter.
Situated at the back of the property, our home is private and very peaceful. Cool in summer and warm in winter the house is welcoming and very comfortable.

Situated in the Sunshine Coast (Queensland) hinterland, our house is only 7 minutes from Maleny, a beautiful old fashioned rural town loved by city day trippers, 30 minutes to beautiful beaches at Caloundra and just a short drive from there up to Mooloolaba, Maroochydore and Noosa.
Brisbane, the 2032 Olympic Games host city is only 90 minutes away and the big theme parks of the Gold Coast are a further hour down the highway to the south.
Locally, we have a stunning rural backdrop of dairy farms, small scale specialty breed cattle studs, rolling hills and beautiful houses built to make the most of these peaceful surrounds.
Maleny is a friendly town full of coffee shops, a place where you can buy beautiful art, timber furniture and grab a bite to eat from a range of small international style eateries. In Maleny Lane, you can enjoy the variety of food from vendors while listening to local artists.
Our old-time shop fronts are quite unique, while Montville just 20 minutes away is a more “modern” tourist town which offers wonderful restaurants and a range of speciality shops.
We have beautiful parks and plenty of stunning walking trails within a 30-minute drive from the house. Mary Cairncross Park is a beautiful old growth forest park that is a popular destination for a picnic and a gentle walk through the forest.
Situated on the rim of a small plateau, spectacular Mountain View Rd overlooks the very unique ancient volcanic plugs of the Glasshouse Mountains (named by Captain Cook) to the south and east. To the north-west the Conondale valley offers a lovely drive to Kenilworth.

Don't forget that Queensland is a world-famous whale watching centre and from home you can drive to Hervey Bay or take one of the whale watching boats from Mooloolaba or Brisbane. From mid-July to late October, thousands of Humpback whales stop off in Hervey Bay to rest on the way back from the calving grounds of the warm tropical waters off the north Queensland coast. Oftentimes, the whales check out your boat and look at you or happily breech and slap their flukes on the water surface. It is truly one of the most miraculous sights of nature.
