Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement
Welcome to your home away from home in historic St. Augustine, Florida. Our 130-year-old house is comfortably furnished - mostly with antique wooden furniture that we grew up with. We keep it impeccably clean.
The kitchen is fully furnished with all the cooking tools and utensils that you will need when preparing meals on the HUGE granite island. There are plantation shutters and ceiling fans throughout, and perfectly working A/C and heat for your maximum comfort. The front porch offers comfortable seating for your morning coffee, and out back you will find outdoor dining space, a fire pit, and a gas grill.
As shown in the listing, this is our second home, often rented as "The Pink Door" for visitors to St. Augustine. Visit one of the rental sites and you will see how much people love it. But it's not just some extra property that we own. We live directly across the street and are intimately involved with it every week. It holds many of our family heirlooms and we care an awful lot about it. Our own family stays there from time to time, and we even considered moving there ourselves!

Ce que vous allez adorer dans le quartier
Our street is part of the Uptown section of St. Augustine, just north of St. Francis Field. Uptown is a distinct area with its own antique and coffee shops, an ice cream parlor, and neighborhood streets for taking walks, yet still incredibly close to the heart of downtown St. Augustine.
We are in an actual neighborhood, an easy walk to St. Augustine's most well-known attractions. Walk to San Marco Avenue (A1A) at the east end of our street and you are a stone's throw from Ripley's, with the Castillo de San Marcos just beyond, with just a few more steps to the City Gates, St. George Street, and the Bridge of Lions.
If you want to jump on and off the trolleys for a day (a good way to get to know St. Augustine on day one), you will find the Old Towne Trolley station one block from the end of our street on San Marco Avenue, with the Ripley's trolleys just a block south from there.
If time at the beach is what you have in mind, we are 5-7 minutes from Vilano Beach, or you can cross the Bridge of Lions to get to Anastasia State Park or St. Augustine Beach. You can also head south from there to Crescent Beach, Flagler Beach, and more options farther south.

Le mot de la fin
What have guests most said recently about our home?
- It's a lot bigger and roomier than we expected.
- Even better than the pictures.
- Spotless
- Really enjoyed the front porch and backyard fire pit
- Very walkable
- Super comfy beds
- The comfort of this home made it a wonderful place to end our day
- Great house, great street, great location, great owners. Clean, comfortable, cozy. And by cozy I don't mean small. Plenty of room to spread out.
IMPORTANT: Our home is for adults only - nobody under the age of 25 and absolutely no pets. There is also a $150 cleaning fee which applies to both reciprocal and points-based exchanges. We ask that the cleaning fee be brought in cash (USD) so our cleaner can receive it even if we are out of town.
When you request, please share with us the full names of all guests and where people are coming from. That helps us to reach a conclusion much faster. Thanks!
