Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement

Our condo is a bright and comfortable 2-bedroom, 2-bath home located directly across from Departure Bay Beach in Nanaimo. It's about 900 square feet, including a cozy balcony that overlooks a large grassy field and the building’s parking area. While the unit doesn’t face the water, the beach is just steps from the front door—and in summer, the neighbourhood comes alive with food trucks, beach goers, and a relaxed, friendly vibe.

The kitchen has been recently renovated and is fully equipped for cooking at home. Laundry facilities are conveniently located on the same floor, and the suite is on the second floor of a three-story building, with no neighbours below. The building is secure, quiet, and has elevator access and free on-site parking.

Wi-Fi is included, and we’re happy to offer use of our vehicle as part of the exchange. We also have two stand-up paddleboards available—perfect for calm days on the water.

The Departure Bay ferry terminal is less than five minutes away, making island arrivals and day trips extra convenient. Families will appreciate the waterpark next door, the playground across the street at the beach, and a designated swimming area during warmer months.

Departure Bay is one of Nanaimo’s most scenic and walkable neighbourhoods. From our front door, you can enjoy easy beach access, nature trails, and a short passenger ferry ride to Saysutshun (Newcastle Island). Nanaimo itself offers plenty to explore—wander the Harbourfront Walkway, browse boutiques and cafés in the historic Old City Quarter, or hike through forested Bowen Park. Foodies will love sampling creative stops along the Nanaimo Bar Trail, and for something unique, you can even take a little ferry to the floating Dinghy Dock Pub on Protection Island. Whether you're into art, nature, or just soaking in a laid-back coastal vibe, Nanaimo offers more than meets the eye.

Nanaimo has something to enjoy in every season—from coastal strolls and patio dining to local markets and outdoor adventures. And for day trips, guests can easily hop on the Hullo ferry or Harbour Air seaplane for quick visits to Vancouver or Victoria.
