A clean, crowd-free destination itself, Leiden is a base for exploring Amsterdam, the Hague, and Rotterdam. 7 minutes by bike to the Leiden Central train station (Google maps); a 35 minute train to Amsterdam; 18 to Schiphol Airport; 11 to The Hague, and 33 to Rotterdam.
Cozy well-lit, green Leiden home minutes from Amsterdam with riverside terraces and bathtub. Floor-to-ceiling windows lead to green terraces overlooking Europe's historic Rhine River. Asides from sunrises and sunsets, from the terraces you regularly see international sail boats float by towards Leiden's Haven and Eastern Portal (2 minute walk, pictured).
A charming three bedroom, one bathroom home spread throughout two stories of ample, newly renovated floors, each with a private green terrace. Large windows, great lighting, and a spacious feel (we do not own pets). While we don't have river access, we are meters from a canal to paddle or bike into Leiden's charming medieval city center. Street parking. Water access 30 paces from front door.

We're seasoned Home Exchangers committed to the etiquette & principles of cleanliness, communication, and respect. We will leave your home cleaner than we found it, do not smoke or have pets. The 2 story apartment:
1st floor (2nd floor building) well equipped kitchen with wood island bar. Spacious living room with morning sunlight, entertainment center, yoga and music corner, floor-to-ceiling windows, riverside terrace. Large, bright bathroom with tall showerhead and bathtub.
2nd floor (3rd floor building); three bedrooms, one of which is currently a large, well-lit, airy home-office with large windows and front balcony overlooking Rhine and Leiden city center gate. Views of Leiden and adjacent park. Bedroom has firm orthopedic mattress. Bedrooms with blackout curtains to sleep in.
High speed wifi with routers throughout the house will help those working remotely. Bikes available in special circumstances.

Ce que vous allez adorer dans le quartier
Leiden is the "Little Amsterdam" of Holland - all the beauty minus the tourists. A medieval pedestrian city riddled with canals and the former home of Rembrandt and Einstein, Leiden has lots to see, but is also highly accessible (Amsterdam, The Hague and Rotterdam are minutes away). We are an 18 minute train from the Amsterdam airport (Schiphol).
Our home is surrounded by canals and parks. This makes it a quiet, peaceful area minutes from the city center: A five minute bike ride to the train station, and a five minute bike ride (15 min walk) along canals to the city center (bars, coffeeshops, cinemas, bookstores, cafés) and Harlemmerstraat shopping district, as well as the nearest large grocery stores, pharmacy, etc.
You are steps from the city haven, and the Singel Kanaal Park that circles the medieval city center. Rather not walk, you can paddle board into town starting from our home's adjacent canal.
