Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement
Welcome to our cute and cosy little cottage in easy walking distance from Penguin!
Built in 1907, this is a gorgeous little house with a cottage garden and heaps of heritage charm, but all the modern conveniences. With two (very comfy!) queen-sized beds and a fully equipped kitchen (including fancy coffee machine!), there's nothing you'll need that we don't have.
With high ceilings, beautiful wooden floorboards, the best red front door in town (!), and a pressed tin ceiling in the living room, you'll fall in love with the place.
Besides the bedroom, there is one room set up as an office (complete with striking blue feature wall for video conference calls!) with two raised desks and stools - just bring your laptop and plug in. There's even a large monitor to plug in to, if you want to.
With heaps of windows in the kitchen and lounge room facing west, the house gets all the afternoon sun. It warms up and keeps the house toasty warm. If it does cool down, we have either the split system (A/C and heater unit) or the wood box for a cosy fire in winter.
We have off-street parking in the driveway off the main road, but not in the remote-controlled garage, because...we have converted it into a gym!! We have a squat rack, bench press, separate bench, step-up, and as many dumbbells as you could need. The tumble-dryer is also easily accessible in the garage, while the washing machine is in the house.

Located on the corner of a road and a quiet cul-de-sac, we have a small view of the ocean from the deck, but also bush views out to the west.
There are mountain bike tracks up in the Dial Range, about 5 minutes drive from our place (we have 1 x electric mountain bike available for you to use!).
Walk 600m down to the beach and go west or east on the new Coastal Pathway. A short 10-15 min walk to the local cafes in town, the brewery, the dog beach, and the blue phone box (local book lending library). Penguin also has 2 x IGAs, a bottle shop, post-office, organic food shop, hairdressers, and much more.
The buses aren't frequent, but there is a bus stop right outside our house on the other side of the road!
It's a 15-min drive east to Ulverstone where there are more services and larger shops (Coles, Woollies), 20-mins drive west to Burnie, or 25-mins drive east to Devonport where the Spirit of Tasmania docks.
Plenty of great bushwalking tracks around, and only 1.5 hours to drive to Cradle Mountain in the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area!
