Just 5 minutes' drive to stunning Kailua Beach, Hawaii, you will love every minute you spend in this bright, newly updated 4-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom home. The breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and Kaneohe Bay, Coconut Island, and the magnificent Ko'olau Mountains of O'ahu Hawaii will make it hard to leave your Hawaiian home.

You will be very centrally and conveniently located, but also get to experience the best of both worlds -- you are at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, nestled up against a lush, tropical jungle, yet so close to amenities and world-class beaches. Wake up to morning birdsong from this secluded haven.

All rooms have lots of jalousie (louvre) windows letting in abundant light and welcoming breeze. There is no AC.

The windward side offers the true island paradise experience. From the stunningly beautiful turquoise beaches to the Jurassic Park-like Ko'olau mountain range with its sheer, incredibly steep cliffs covered in lush vegetation, this is the best that Hawaii has to offer. There are four, different, world-class beaches within a 15 minute drive. World-class Kailua Beach is just 5 minutes drive away. There are tons of hikes where you can see waterfalls, mountain ranges, breathtaking ocean views, gorgeous flora and fauna, and humpback whales (during the November-April season). You are also about 50 minutes from the funky North Shore with its huge waves in winter and great swimming and snorkeling in the summer. Honolulu (known to the locals as "town") is an easy 20-minute drive over the Ko'olau mountain range.

You will be 2 minutes drive from H-3 freeway which goes into Honolulu, 5 minutes from the other two freeways into "town" (Honolulu), the Likelike (HI-63) and Pali Highway (HI-61). 5 minutes drive to supermarkets and stores. Public transportation (city bus) is on Kaneohe Bay Drive (only 3 blocks away).

Our position at the top of the hill and end of the cul-de-sac gives you an obstructed, elevated view straight out to the natural wonder of the scenic beauty surrounding us. And being situated on the windward (northeast) side of the island, we are blessed with near-constant "trade winds" which provide a natural cooling breeze that keeps the tropical warmth just perfect.

First floor offers plus room/additional bedroom with updated full bathroom that can be used as a separate private suite area.

FIRST FLOOR - Plus Room/4th Bedroom + Updated Full Bathroom
The "Palm Suite" looks out onto the beautiful Hawaiian Areca Palms, and sports a gorgeous new full bathroom with shower, featuring ceramic tile, newer quartz vanity countertop and newer fixtures. The "Palm Suite" offers the comforts of an Ikea sectional couch which also pulls out into a very comfortable double bed -- much more comfortable than a typical pull-out spring sofa bed. Please note that the room is open to the front entrance and there is a folding partition, but no door separating the area from the front entrance.


SECOND FLOOR - Open-plan Kitchen/Dining/Living
You will love being in the renovated kitchen, with its quartz countertops, newer cabinets, stainless steel appliances, and under cabinet lighting. The counter-height dining table is a beautiful mango wood counter-height and maximizes the ocean view! The home features newer luxury vinyl plank flooring throughout.

Living room offers sectional positioned to take in the incredible view. Be at one with the view from the lanai table while you work or read, enjoy a meal, drink your morning coffee as the sun rises over the ocean, or sip a cocktail as the sun sets and the yachts sail around Coconut Island in front of you.


SECOND FLOOR - 3 Bedrooms, 1.5 Bathrooms
The master bedroom is surrounded by the lush jungle, with wrap around jalousie windows that allow you to feel at one with nature. Sleep super comfortably on the Tempur Pedic king mattress. (Please note that the mattress sits directly on the floor for maximum comfort and support.) Enjoy the 40" flat panel LED TV in the master bedroom, with Apple TV. There is a half-bath ensuite off the master bedroom.

2nd Bedroom offers queen size memory foam mattress, with views to the bay and mountains, and also to the jungle on the side of the house. The room also has a study table.

3rd Bedroom has a memory foam single bed with storage headboard, and includes a glass top computer desk and office chair. Views to the bay, ocean and mountains.

Full Bathroom is off the hallway next to the three 2nd floor bedrooms.


LAUNDRY
The laundry hallway separates the main house kitchen and the rear studio cottage, which is completely separated from the front part of the house by the common laundry hallway, with no shared walls.

NOTE: The studio is a similar extended stay rental unit, attached to the rear of the house but with its own private entrance at rear of property, and completely separated from this 3-bedroom lodging. The studio may or may not be occupied during your stay.

GARAGE/PARKING
There is ample parking on the driveway, and one space on the open garage. Feel free to use the boogie boards and beach chairs, etc. in the open garage.

NOTE: Minimum stay 30 nights. Stays shorter than 30 days have been made illegal as of August 1, 2019. This is in reaction to airbnbs overtaking neighborhoods. While the law does not make special provisions for home exchanges, the homeowner is guilty until proven innocent and the penalty is $10K per day. So we do not want to be put in the position of having to defend our home exchanges so have chosen to comply with the law for rentals as well as exchanges.

VERY IMPORTANT: Absolutely no pets and no smoking permitted. We are situated on a small, quiet residential street surrounded by elderly neighbors who have lived in their homes for many decades. It is essential that our guests are peaceful and respectful of the neighbors. Noise, raucous behavior, events, and any guests other than those approved for the reservation are strictly prohibited.

Please note that our house is a typical Hawaiian house with no HVAC, single wall construction and jalousie windows. As such, it is not uncommon to hear your neighbors talking or to hear your neighbors' TV or music. At present our neighbor is also raising chickens so you will hear crowing as well. We successfully mute this sound with a sound machine at night.

We can accommodate Japanese speaking guests as we both speak Japanese. 日本語でもどうぞ。
