Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement
This is our home in Lucan, a suburb in Dublin. It's a triple storey end of terrace house, in a quiet and well maintained neighbourhood.
- Top floor: Master bedroom, king size bed, with en-suite shower/toilet. Desk for any remote working needs. There's also a large, sunny balcony.
- Middle floor: three bedrooms: a children's bedroom with a bunk bed (2 single), two double bedrooms (one double bed and one king size bed), and the main family bathroom.
- Downstairs is a spacious living room, kitchen/dining room and large guest toilet.
- Plenty of toys and children's books for ages 6 and up in our home; you don't need to pack anything other than their very favourite teddies!
- Our garden is small but perfectly formed, is very private, and includes a wooden playhouse. It is very sunny in the afternoons and evenings, and is a lovely place to hang out during the summer. You can barbeque or have a picnic on the grass! The kitchen/dining room opens up into the garden so you can enjoy the fresh air throughout the house.
- This is a non-smoking home. If you do smoke, please only smoke/vape outside.
- We don't have satellite TV but do have high speed Internet, a smart TV with Netflix, Disney +, and a PS4 (limited games, so you might like to bring your own).
- The house also benefits from a monitored alarm system and a Ring doorbell for extra security.
- Parking at the house is free and plentiful.
- There's a spacious green space for families right behind our house and we are an easy walk and/or short drive/cycle to a number of beautiful parks and playgrounds.
**Please note that we have two much loved indoor family cats. They usually go to a cattery for extended holidays but be aware their fur is still in the house even when they are not (despite frequent vacuuming!).**

- Bus stop one minute walk from the front door. Frequent and reliable 24 hour buses take you directly to the city centre (www.dublinbus.ie) and local areas.
- Train station less than 10 minutes' walk away.
- Brand new shopping centre has recently opened opposite our train station, with a lovely big Tesco and Aldi, a barber, coffee shop, pharmacy and other retail units.
- Another two Tescos, a Supervalu, two Lidls and an Aldi supermarket are also within very easy reach - you are spoiled for choice for groceries.
- Liffey Valley shopping centre and cinema is close by.
- Dublin International Airport is around 30-40 minutes' drive away; the lovely Dublin Zoo and beautiful Phoenix Park (the largest urban park in Europe) is 20-25 minutes' drive, the city centre around 30 minutes without traffic if you choose to drive (we advise public transport to the city!).
- The pretty village of Lucan is an easy walk, or short drive, away too, with a selection of restaurants, pubs, takeaways and some shops.
- There are plenty of beautiful parks and nature walks nearby. We are a stone's throw from the N4 freeway, which makes our home very accessible to the West of Ireland (Galway, Kerry, Mayo, Sligo etc) and to more local areas like Celbridge, Maynooth, Leixlip, Kildare and Straffan.
All round, Lucan is a wonderful place to be!

We have travel cards ("Leap" cards) available here for guests, which are much easier and cheaper to use than cash on the bus and train - similar to London's Oyster card. Just download the app to load credit and off you go. A 90 minute journey within the Dublin area is €2 for an adult, no matter how many modes of transport you take! We do recommend hiring a car for longer stays as, while public transport to Dublin city centre is great and highly recommended, it's much easier to drive to other areas, and there is so much to see and do in Dublin and nearby!
