Come enjoy the views from the back deck of our log cabin lodge home! Our 4 bedroom, 2 bath home is located in lovely Paso Robles Wine Country, at Lake Nacimiento and sits at end of a cul-de-sac in a 1970's planned community about 15 minutes west of the town of Paso Robles. We boast spectacular views from our large lower rear deck and upper rear deck of lovely rolling oak studded hillsides. The pond out back of our house attracts daily wildlife including deer, wild turkeys, coyotes, cranes, ducks, (great bird watching), rabbits, hawks and turkey vultures. During the rainy season (prayers for that), we have a seasonal creek that will add a symphony of frogs in the evenings as you sip warm drinks by our gas firepit and gaze at a sea of stars and watch the moon rise.
Our house is rustic, yet not . . . it was actually build in 1980 as a log home "kit". Entry level - first floor has living room with large couch, TV (streaming Netflix, Prime, Hulu), cozy pellet stove fireplace, master bedroom with king bed, dining, kitchen and bathroom with shower. Upstairs are 3 additional queen bedrooms and second bathroom with tub/shower. Two of the bedrooms have additional twin mattresses under bed that can be used for extra guests/children. Our home has central heating and air-conditioning. The kitchen is fully stocked and ready for whipping up evening hors d'oeuvres or a full dinner.

We are located approximately 15 minutes west of downtown Paso Robles at Lake Nacimiento. Our home is located in a planned community of homes built in the 1970's. Our particular street in non-remarkable with a mix of modest homes, mostly resided in by full time residents. Our home, however, sits at the end of the street on a wide cul-de-sac. Our pie shaped lot backs up to acres of undeveloped, unobstructed rolling oak, hillside with pond views. You can check out one of the several wonderful hiking trails that branch off the end of our street on a foggy morning or a warm sunny afternoon. Perfect for all levels of fitness, there are wonderful vistas and are perfect for walking "Fido"!
Paso Robles is a wonderful quaint town with lots of great restaurants, the Pioneer Museum, breweries and a lovey central park that often has music and art exhibits. Over 300 wineries are within miles of our cabin and offer a wide variety of experiences (Make reservations!). Be sure to visit Light at Sensorio for a truly special experience or take a day trip to Cambria, Hearst Castle, San Simeon's elephant seal rookery, Cayucos or Morro Bay.
We are within two miles of the shores of Lake Nacimiento, where you can take our two kayaks and enjoy a paddle, or you can arrange with us in advance to visit the community pool or the pickle ball courts. There is also a fenced dog park.

Our home is a log cabin and is situated in a planned community that is also serves as a nature preserve. Our home is friendly to medium to larger sized dogs. We do we ask that they remain on the first floor where there is no carpet. Small dogs risk not being confined by our deck railing systems. All dogs need to be supervised when outside as we do have coyotes and wild boars in the local habitat. Our house is not ideal for toddlers or very small children for the same reasons as small dogs, with interior/exterior stairs, wood surfaces, wire cable railings.
