Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement
This is my primary residence but since I work out of town a lot, I am also open to reciprocal exchanges where we travel on different days. I mainly am looking for reciprocal exchanges for my primary residence but am happy to do guest point exchanges for my basement apartment - which is usually available: https://www.homeexchange.com/homes/view/1969331. I used to use it as an airbnb but prefer to get guest points and travel myself. As well, if you need a really big house - you can use the basement as well (for extra guest points) which has another queen, double and single beds,
This is a well-lived in home where you will feel comfortable, if you want hotel quality, this is not it. My home is clean but can be messy. It is spacious, warm in the winter and cool in the summer (thanks to central air) but not luxurious. I will set the beds and put out towels etc for my guests but I used the pictures to show that this is my house on a usual day.
I have a salt water jacuzzi in the backyard, a cold shower for the spring and summer, and a salt water above ground swimming pool (15 ft round) which is partially heated so lasts from June to September depending on the weather.
There are three bedrooms, two have a single bed, one has a Queen sized bed with has an ensuite bathroom (shower only, no bathtub). There is an upstairs office with a pull out couch in the office as well as two single mattresses that can be laid out on the floor of the office. There is also a downstairs craft room that has a couch that converts to a double bed. It sleeps 7 very comfortably but can accommodate up to 9 plus a child in a toddler bed and a baby in a pack n play.
There are three WC's - one on the main floor with just a toilet and sink, one with a shower and bath and one with a shower (the en suite). One of my daughters' rooms is off limits but the rest of the main house is yours to enjoy. My children have asked that anyone who stays in their bedrooms or play room respect their privacy.
Large dining room table (seats up to 12), open concept kitchen, and comfortable couches in the living room. Based on the age of children coming, I will put out some toys and books.
Large backyard with all season hot tub, BBQ, above ground pool (15 ft round), an outdoor living room, and table and chairs.
I have two cats Evelyn, who is a skittish cat who loves treats and once you get to know her, is a charmer, and Kiki - who is very affectionate but it takes time for her to get used to you. If you don't mind the cats staying but don't want to take care of them, I can have a friend come to check their food and change the kitty litter (they can be moved to the basement if you prefer and it is available).
Car is available for reciprocal exchanges only.
I have some older baby gear from when my kids were younger that my nephew used to use when he visited (he has outgrown them) and a toddler bed. The house is not baby or toddler proof but I do have some things you can use while visiting (pack n play, baby seat for the table etc)
I have a separate listing for just the basement so if you need more space or are two families, you can see that one as well. If someone is using the basement, you would share the backyard space.

Ce que vous allez adorer dans le quartier
Monkland Village is a vibrant neighbourhood with many restaurants, shops, and parks. The house is one block from a park and only a few blocks from a public pool. It is a 10 minute walk to bistros, restaurants, coffee shops, three ice cream stores, and a supermarket, all on Monkland avenue.
There is a bus on the corner to take you to the metro (subway) or you can walk there in 20 minutes. With the bus and metro, you are 30 minutes from downtown. It is a 20 minute drive (faster without construction).
